Kati Ihamäki, Finnair Vice President, Sustainable Development

Born 1968, Kati Ihamäki, MSc (Econ.) was appointed by Finnair as Vice President, Sustainable Development on 1 February 2008. In 2009, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) appointed Ihamäki a member of its Environment Committee. She has previously acted as Alliance Director for oneworld affairs and been a member of Finnair's Environmental Organisation. She has been with Finnair since 1992. In her position, Ihamäki acts as the spokesperson for environmental affairs at Finnair Group. Her responsibilities include ensuring that Finnair's environmental goals in Group business activities are realised in such a way that Finnair can be among the leading airlines in environmental activities. She is also responsible for the coordination of environmental strategy and emissions trade projects as well as for integrating environmental issues into Finnair's competitive strategy.
