Jeanine Pires, Minister Special Advisor for Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Jeanine Pires is a university teacher and a professional with 14 years of leadership in the tourism sector, especially with the national and international marketing for destinations. Through her business skills Jeanine managed teams for the bidding and event promotion sector, and coordinated marketing and communication platforms of Brazil as a tourism destination in more than 40 countries. Her leadership of multitasking teams focused on event management, marketing, sales and institutional relations created a new environment which led Brazil to improve confidence in the international tourism market. 

Jeanine was President of the Brazilian Tourism Board and, currently, she works with the Brazilian Ministry of Sports in the coordination of actions for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
