Indraa Bold, Founding member and Director of the Governing Board of the Mongolia National Tourism Organization NGO

Indraa Bold holds a M.S. in Tourism and Travel Management from New York University. Since graduating NYU in 2003, she worked as a Tourism Business Development Advisor for the “Economic Policy Reform and Competitiveness Project” of the United States Agency for International Development in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. In 2007, jointly with key tourism NGOs and tour operators of Mongolia she initiated the formation of a non-profit, non-governmental marketing organization – the Mongolia National Tourism Organization.
Ms. Bold started her career as a tour guide for Zuulchin Corporation. In the past fifteen years she has accumulated professional experience in planning, organization, and development of sustainable tourism products. Her work record includes assessing tourism resources and developing products, creating market linkages and strategies for various markets. Ms. Bold’s experience of working with diverse stakeholder groups and engaging public and private partnerships in product development, project implementation, and policy development led her to work in various national working groups on “Amendment the Tourism Law of Mongolia”, “Tourism Development Strategy 2007-2012”, “Culture and Arts Master Plan of Mongolia 2011-2021”.
Ms. Bold is member of the Mongolian Tourism Council and “CBI Mongolia Advisory Board”. In the past, she served as a member of the Advisory Board for the Adventure Travel Trade Association. She speaks fluent Russian and English.
